Paramount Skydance Plans to Remove Nearly 2,000 United States Roles – Update
Skydance Paramount plans to initiate significant workforce reductions during the week starting 27 October, removing about 2,000 American roles within a budget-saving initiative worth $2bn under CEO David Ellison.
These job cuts follow the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed in August worth $8.4bn.
Further global layoffs are likely, as the firm aiming to reveal all specifics in its third-quarter financial update on 10 November.
Prior news stated the company was looking to eliminate from 2,000 to 3,000 jobs by the beginning of next month.
As of December 2024, the organization employed almost 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts plus 3,500 project-based staff.
Paramount Skydance has not provided a response on the matter.
